Annelise Gadoury

Annelise Gadoury is an artist and teacher based in Montreal. A graduate of Laval University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she distinguished herself early in her career by receiving the Sculpture Award from the Fondation La Vigie. With a 14-year career in graphic design under her belt, she has devoted herself to figurative painting since 2009. After working in oils for over ten years, she now focuses her practice and teaching on watercolor.

Her works, which explore light through portraiture and the urban landscape, have been featured in several exhibitions, including an international selection by the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center in Moscow. A teacher since 2019, Annelise offers a teaching approach centered on balancing creative enjoyment with technical rigor. She designs stimulating projects that allow students to build a solid foundation while discovering the fascinating complexity of watercolor.
