The Visual Arts Centre (hereinafter also referred to as “our”, “we” or “us”) understand the importance of protecting your personal information and respecting your right to privacy. It is our responsibility to guarantee the secure handling of any information we collect. It is in this spirit that our Policy was designed and is applied. This encompasses information such as your name, email addresses, contact information, and similar information submitted to Visual Arts Centre during its business operations or received through business inquiries. What personal information we collect

The Visual Arts Centre collects and stores registration and analytical data within our registration system, Google Analytics and Mailchimp. When you sign up for a particular service that requires registration and/or payment, we request personal information, including but not limited to, your first and last name, email address, civic address, billing address, payment or credit card details, etc. Some of the information we ask for may be optional.

When you provide a résumé, we collect your first and last name, contact information (email, address, and phone number), professional background, educational history, skills, references, and any additional information included in your resume.

We assure you that we only collect the necessary personal information, and this information will not be utilized in any manner other than the intended purpose for which it was collected.

For what purposes do we collect personal information?

We collect your personal information to enhance your online experience by providing an engaging, straightforward, and secure environment. Visual Arts Centre collects and retains certain personal information to facilitate and simplify your subsequent online visits and purchases.

This information is used for the following purposes:

  • process and fulfill your order, completing transactions when you make an online purchase, donation or registration;
  • communicate with you for support-related matters;
  • send you our newsletter via email;
  • identify your preferences and interests to enhance the quality of our services;

Log files

Whenever our websites are accessed, usage data is transmitted through the respective Internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called server log files. The data records stored in this way contain the following data: Date and time of access, name of the page accessed, shortened IP address, referrer URL (originating URL from which you accessed the website), the amount of data transferred, as well as product and version information of the browser used. The shortened IP addresses of the visitors are deleted or made anonymous after the end of use. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, which permits the processing of data to protect the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not prevail.

Visual Arts Centre retains registration data for the year following your registration in a course. Subsequently, we maintain a list of former students on a secure server. We do not store credit card or payment information without explicit consent. In all cases, we will ensure the protection and confidentiality of your information. We are committed to maintaining the security and confidentiality of your personal information for the duration necessary to fulfill our legal requirements.

Upon the expiration of the retention period, we take measures to either destroy or anonymize your personal information. Destruction involves a definitive elimination process, while anonymization entails irreversibly modifying your personal information so that it can no longer be used to identify you directly or indirectly.

Modifications and updates

Visual Arts Centre reserves the right to revise the Policy at any time to reflect changes in our business, legislation, the availability of new technologies, or the introduction of new products, services, or features.

When changes are made, we will update the date at the top of the Policy to reflect the last update. We encourage you to check this date regularly to stay informed about any modifications to the Policy.
