About the course

This introductory workshop to portraiture for oil painters addresses palette preparation, underpainting, and a lively, alla prima paint application. You will learn to mix skin tones from a simplified, limited palette and progress toward more vibrant, chromatic mixtures. You will work from a live model (may include nude models). Prerequisite: some drawing and oil painting experience.
