Drawing with Silverpoint

Course info

About the course

Silverpoint, the Renaissance forerunner of the graphite pencil, literally means drawing with a silver tip on a paper or wood surface that has been coated with white pigment. Particles of silver leave their delicate traces and shimmering tones, which continue to oxidize and deepen over time. Inspired by Da Vinci, Dürer, Raphael, and various contemporary artists, we will adopt this beautiful technique to capture light and shadow in a still life subject. No prerequisite.
