Handbuilt Teapots with Slab-Building Technique

Join us for a creative and hands-on 2-day workshop where you’ll learn how to handbuild your very own teapot using slab-building techniques.

Day 1:
We’ll begin by preparing and rolling out clay slabs. You’ll learn how to cut and assemble the essential components of a teapot—body, spout, lid, and handle—while exploring design and proportion. Guidance will be provided throughout to help bring your vision to life.

Day 2:
On the second day, we’ll refine and assemble the individual parts into a functional and sculptural teapot. You’ll also have the opportunity to add surface details and finishing touches before the pieces are left to dry for firing.

This workshop is suitable for all levels, from curious beginners to experienced makers looking to explore new forms. All materials and tools are provided.
