Using drawing and printmaking, Virginie Fillion-Fecteau explores the cycles of life through strategies such as repetition, mirror composition, and patterns. Through her work, the artist seeks a “vertical” understanding of the human experience to exorcise her fear of death. Trained in arts education at UQÀM in 2013, she obtained a master’s degree in fine arts from Concordia University in 2021. She is the recipient of the Concordia Alumni Association Fine Arts Award and her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, and Portugal.
