About the course
In this course students will explore various techniques (drawing, collage, rubber stamping, stencilling, intuitive mark-making) and creative approaches (visual poetry, comics) towards the goal of telling their story via their own unique mixed media artist book. We will harness the power that lives between word and image, made and found objects in order to make our personal stories come alive while we reimagine what a book can be, both in content and in form. Collaboration, improvisation and foraging for found materials will play a part in our explorations. No prerequisite.
