About the course

Explore the creative possibilities of hand-building with clay. The techniques of pinched pot, coiling, slab-building and hollowing will be combined in the creation of personal works of a functional or sculptural nature. Decorative techniques will be exploited through the use of engobes, glazes and pigments to guide the student towards a finish that reflects his own signature. Prerequisite: two hand-building classes or previous experience with clay.
