Explore the creative possibilities of hand-building with clay. You will be assisted in the creation of personal works of a functional or sculptural nature, combining the techniques of pinched pot, coiling, slab-building and hollowing. Decorative techniques will be explored through the use of engobes, glazes and pigments to guide the student towards a finish that reflects their own signature. Prerequisite: two hand-building classes or previous experience with clay.
