Painting Still Life

This intermediate level course will use the still life as a subject to fully explore the potential of oil or acrylic painting medium. The pictorial nature of still life can provide various sources of inspiration for learning composition, colour, perspective, light and shadow. Including some ideas on the beginnings of still life in art history and their symbolic significance. Indeed, you will be able to take advantage of this course to also study different painting approaches, an opportunity to further develop your painting practice. Prerequisite: one session of painting.
