About the course
This workshop explores contemporary approaches to portraiture through the unpredictable, fluid and relatively new medium of alcohol inks. Inspired by the expressive abstraction and layering students will create dynamic portraits that go beyond likeness and bring emotion and expression into their drawings. Working on non-porous surfaces like Yupo paper, students will experiment with controlled accidents, layered mark-making, and subtle distortions of the human form. No prerequisite.
