Alexis Lavoie

Alexis Lavoie was born in 1980 in Montreal where he still lives and works. He holds a BFA from the Université du Québec à Montréal (2008) and an MFA from Concordia University (2018). Since 2008, his work has been presented in several solo and group exhibitions across Canada. His works are part of numerous private and public collections, including the Loto-Québec, RBC and Desjardins Collections. His projects have been supported by numerous research and creation grants from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts. In 2010 he obtained first prize at the twelfth RBC Canadian painting Competition. He is represented by the Simon Blais Gallery in Montreal.
