Louise Campion

Louise Campion is a French artist and writer based between Glasgow, Paris and Montréal. Working across painting, drawing, and text, her practice explores how we navigate emotion, power, and connection in a complex and fast-changing world. Her work moves between bold, expressive paintings and more intimate, hand-made drawings, balancing critical observation with moments of care, humour, and curiosity. Committed to sustainable processes, she often works with recycled materials and slow, traditional techniques. Campion holds a BFA from Concordia University and an MFA from the Glasgow School of Art, where she received the Ranald and Jennifer May Postgraduate Painting Scholarship, and more awards since. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in New York, Glasgow, and Hamburg. Alongside her studio and teaching practices, she works at the Visual Arts Centre’s McClure Gallery as Gallery Coordinator, and as Director for the non-profit artist-run organization Fais-moi l’art.
