About the course
For students attracted to the boldness of black and white ink drawing with its rich tonalities and expressiveness of line and wash. Learn to work with full-strength black ink, practice the technique of dilution to create smooth tonal transitions, and how to plan and preserve white areas for light and contrast. Using both brush and pen, the emphasis on will be on observational drawing from still life, drapery, human figure and perspective. Prerequisite: one session of drawing.
