About the course
This class taught by Tristan Tondino and Joséane Brunelle explores the painting techniques of various well-known Canadian painters (including Cornelius Kreighoff, Clarence Gagnon, Tom Thomson, Emily Carr and Françoise Sullivan). Inspired by their painting styles and techniques, and through practical application in oil paint and experimentation in their own projects, students will examine the evolution of these artists’ works. The course includes a visit to the Montreal Museum of Fine Art to study artworks and sketches*. Prerequisite: One session in oil painting.
*The price of a ticket to the museum is not included. Students must purchase their own ticket.
