Where the Roads Meet explores the road as a place of passage, where the boundaries between places, memories, and identities become porous. Here, the road is both landscape and metaphor; a space where journeys intersect, transform, and continue.
Moving between reality and imagination, landscapes gradually merge until they form a shared territory. Distances collapse, seasons overlap, and familiar landmarks shift. Haiti, Montreal, New York, and other places are no longer separated by geography, but connected through lived experience, memory, and imagination. The works invite viewers to inhabit this in-between space: a place where multiple homes, histories, and identities can exist simultaneously without cancelling one another out. Roads become visible traces of movement, but also invisible threads connecting generations, cultures, and personal narratives. They speak as much of departure as of return, of rupture as of encounter, of loss as of possibility. Rather than offering a single narrative about migration or belonging, Where the Roads Meet creates a space for reflection where visitors are invited to recognize their own journeys. The exhibition becomes a point of convergence, where past and present meet, landscapes echo one another, and identity emerges as something fluid, evolving, and continually shaped by movement.
Bringing together paintings, drawings, sculptures, sound works, and installations created between 2015 and 2026, the exhibition maps connections between Haiti, Montreal, New York, and imagined landscapes that continue to inhabit the artist's inner world.
